Don’t Try To Eat The Whole Elephant….

Mar 11, 2019

Compartmentalising, for many of us, is hard. It’s very difficult to keep your cool at work even when it feels like the whole world is falling down around you.

We get that.

The importance of compartmentalising in business

Not being able to compartmentalise can be detrimental to your mental health, and mental health is a real focal point in the corporate world at the moment, and rightly so! It’s hugely important to be able to look after and support yourself and your workforce.  Only then will you get the very best out of your employees.

Compartmentalising is key – and it’s a real skill! For some, it comes naturally, but for others, it can be very difficult not to try and ‘eat the whole elephant’ at once. Trust us when we say that eating the whole elephant is just as illogical and impossible as it sounds!

Imagine that something does happen in your business that you have little to no control over, what do you do? Would you be able to take a step back, take your emotions out of the equation, assess your opinions and make an informed decision? The majority of us would struggle, and that’s okay. But thankfully, that’s where the Risk Dashboard comes in.

The Risk Dashboard can help to break tasks down into manageable chunks.

Think of the Risk Dashboard as the elephant. Once our software is integrated, you’ll have access to any part of the elephant – at any time – you don’t need to try and eat it all at once! This method will also make it really simple to delegate tasks to the right people in your organisation.

In a nutshell, the Risk Dashboard allows you to compartmentalise. You will know that you have access to all of the information you need, at any point in time, about any department. You’ll also know that we would have considered business risks that you might not have even had a chance to think about – it really is a win-win.

What’s also great, is that the Risk Dashboard will enable you to easily prioritise the areas of your company that might need a little more attention, especially when it comes down to business compliance. This means you’ll have ‘bite-size’ tasks to tackle, that seem much more manageable and achievable. It also means that your time will be more effective and more efficient.

An elephant is far too much to take-on on your own, it’s much better to break the problem down into pieces, work through tasks logically, and find sensible solutions that take into account all potential areas of risk.
